Bryan McKinney

Your passion is racing and/or pushing your body to its limit to reach that next to near unobtainable goal. My passion is helping any individual reach their true potential.

I started cycling late around the age of 22 as a result of the cycle to work scheme, cycling was always in my family but I was never pushed towards the bike. I quickly went from Cat 4 to Cat 1 in 2 years and have ridden the An Post Ras twice gaining valuable experience. An injury ended my competitive cycling but I quickly got involved in coaching. Something that I was drawn towards even before I realised it was a thing.

I currently work as a full time coach in Ireland, I’ve worked with athletes in the UK, Ireland, N.Ireland, Italy and America and recently have started working with a few triathletes in Australia. I mainly work with elite cyclists and coach riders who ride professionally in the UK and Italy. I am preparing one Junior rider for the World Championships in Yorkshire this year and although it may seem that the ‘pro’s’ are very different from the amateur, they are still human and a similar approach applies.

Whether you are competing to win a World Championships or are trying to complete your first century it is important to apply principles that have proven successful over time. Having coached full time athletes and guys with 5 kids and a job in Google, I am able to work the program around your work/life balance in a way to get the best improvements. When working with myself you will get a compete custom approach to your training and a personal coach who wants the best for you. Imagine having someone on the end of a phone waiting to listen to what it is you have to say and ready with an answer and this is what you have.

You set the goal, and leave it up to me to make it happen and we might even have a bit of fun along the way!
