So, it is IGF-1 (Insulin-like growth factor I). It is a little bit like Insulin, but it’s not Insulin.
Let me explain what the IGF-1 value is.
IGF-1 is an anabolic hormone, that promotes the growth of muscle, bone and other tissue. It also plays a role in ageing, as it promotes cell growth and division. As if this is not enough, it also influences the function and sensitivity of our body to insulin and therefore plays a role in the regulation of fat and sugar metabolism.
We can see, it is a very essential hormone with a lot of different functions.
75% of your bodies IGF-1 production is done by the liver and this process is triggered by the release of Human Growth Hormones. HGH is produced in the brain as a reaction to exercise, sleep and food intake.
